With COVID-19 disrupting the entire world, Canadian institutions adapted to online teaching very quickly. Under normal circumstances, all distance learning courses completed outside Canada are excluded from the time accumulated towards the length of the post-graduation work permit, and 50% of a student’s courses must be completed in Canada and in person.

The following temporary policy changes have been made to better accommodate eligible international students who have completed distance learning in or outside Canada.

All students who were enrolled in a PGWP-eligible program in progress in March 2020 or who started a program of study from spring 2020 up to and including the fall 2021 semester are not required to complete 50% of their program (or programs) of study in Canada. Up to 100% of their program can be completed online from outside Canada.

Time spent studying outside of Canada can be counted towards the overall length of the post-graduation work permit until December 31, 2021. Any time spent studying outside of Canada after December 31, 2021 should be deducted from the length of the post-graduation work permit.

Most of the Study is Online?
Many university and college campuses are closed. All or most of the programs are delivered virtually. Unless your program require workshops, labs and practical’s- it is likely to be online for at least some time in future. What this means? IN lieu of this event some colleges have actually reduced it’s one year fees. 

SAVINGS:
Even same Fees = LESS Cost How? Save on housing: accommodation is the highest expense after tuition and this is a great opportunity to save on it. 

Save travel costs:
That’s what I call double savings. Because most times for students it doesn’t make sense to stay away in cheaper accommodation as they may be far from campus. Even when they are less in value total turn out same as travel costs a lot. No more!

Learn to use technology:
It has become a necessity in our times to be fluent in computers, use of social platforms and all kinds of software but where is the time? To change our old ways, this is the inspiration you need.  “A need or problem encourages creative efforts” Plato.

Earn more: They can work all permitted hours and even multiple jobs.As it can be more restful and convenient to work with Online classes.

Home or Campus:
To be a recognized international student you only need to complete more than 50% of any program in Canada or minimum above 6 months. This is like savings extravaganza. Using the close of campus opportunity and even spending 6 months of a two year course can save lots.
These online studies have same value as on-campus studies till Fall of this year i.e. September-2021 admissions. These are not distance learning programs but a precautionary and temporary measure. 
What this means? It means this is the time to act. If you’re thinking about coming to Canada for Study, take advantage of these transient benefits. Specially with summer being so close 

All said and done, we do understand that online learning maybe no match to the joyous, educational and spirited campus life. Yet, can’t deny this cloud has a dollar lining.
